APALS requires less maintenance and paperwork to provide its precision approaches than
any other precision landing system. But it does require some and our goal is to make
what there is as simple and inexpensive as possible. We are committed to
providing a low visibility solution that is cost effective for signle airplane operators.
- Radar Pilotage Maps
- Each runway supported by APALS requires its own Radar Pilotage map. We build them
using airborne radar surveys, photogrammetric images, and on-site field surveys.
Then we maintain them to such a level that we may not even need annual flight
checks.
- Navigation Data Base
- Some APALS options require conventional navigation databases. We are exploring
ways to consolidate the cost with other on-board database requirements.
- Approach Procedures
- If APALS were a record player, then approach procedures would be the "hit"
records it plays. We are assuring that the APALS supported runways have full
precsion approaches commissioned for use.
- Training
- APALS training is being developed as part of the initial certification and will be
packaged for easy adoption by our customers. This is all inclusive with dispatch,
flight, and maintenance requirements included.
- Customer Support
- No matter how well the equipment is designed, there will always be a need to provide
customer support. Ranging from technical representatives, engineering,
certification/operational approval specialists technical publications, and hardware
maintenance/warranty; we are building our reputation on outstanding support.
